KNOW THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN
REZz Mural Installation By Deirdre Breen
The mural artwork uses the ‘Z’ typographic device from the REZz brand identity and sets it in motion, creating a graphic repetition that visually grounds the artwork in its riverside location.
The streetscape on MacCurtain is an eclectic mix of ornate Victorian premises such as the Gothic revival Metropole Hotel, and modernist architecture like Frank Murphy’s Thompson’s Bakery Swiss Roll Plant with it’s modular glazed patterns.
The artwork engages with the street, by reflecting the visual motifs in a lively optical pattern that has energy and vibrancy.
