22nd of September |  Cork Echo Women’s Mini Marathon 

One of Cork’s best-loved social and sporting events, the Mini Marathon raises approximately €1.5m for charities each year. The annual Marathon on the 22nd of September 2024 is a 5km (3.1 mile) road race organised and hosted by Cork Athletics. This is the biggest event of its kind in Munster. Whether you are a seasoned runner, on a fitness mission or joining friends to enjoy the walk, the Mini Marathon is suitable for everyone, with women choosing to run or walk depending on their fitness level.

25th October – 28th October |  Cork Jazz Festival 

Celebrating its 46th year, the world-renowned Guinness Cork Jazz Festival will see its biggest programme yet, with more ticketed shows than ever before, an extra date added, an extended music trail through the city and a stellar line-up of Irish and international musicians and emerging talent who are pushing the boundaries of the genre. Add to that pop-up events, late-night parties, boat trips, collaborations and brass bands marching through the city streets, and you can see why it’s one of Ireland’s most popular festivals.
